Atwima-Nwabiagya NDC elects parliamentary candidate

Abuakwa (Ash), Oct 2, GNA – Nana Appiah Manu, a 60-year-old retired educationist, was on Friday endorsed as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency for the December polls.

The 120 delegates at their congress at Abuakwa unanimously endorsed Nana Manu, who was the sole candidate. He thanked the delegates for their support and the confidence reposed in him and assured them that that he would work hard to win the seat. Nana Manu called on party supporters to unite to ensure victory for the party in the December polls and reminded them that the task ahead was not going to be easy.

The Candidate said he would improve education, health and agriculture in the constituency if voted as Member of Parliament. Mr Alex Yaw Opoku, the Ashanti Regional Propaganda Secretary of the NDC, urged polling station agents of the party to be bold and vigilant to enable them to prevent rigging on the elections day. He advised the supporters to adopt house-to-house campaigns to win more support for the party.
