Assemblyman calls for rehabilitation of road

Buoyem (B/A), July 28, GNA – Mr Everson Addo-Donkor, Assembly Member for Buoyem Electoral Area in the Techiman District, has appealed to the Techiman District Assembly and the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the 11-kilometre Buoyem-Bonya road to facilitate the movement of vehicles to tourist sites.

”The present deplorable nature of the road makes it difficult for motorists to operate,” he said in an interview with the GNA. Mr Addo-Donkor said farmers in the area could not cart their foodstuffs to the marketing centres and some foodstuffs such as plantain; tomatoes and fresh-harvested yams were getting bad in the area. He again expressed concern about the deplorable state of the Asueyi Junction-Buoyem road.
