Assembly rehabilitates school

Abesewa(Ash), April 28, GNA- The Ahafo Ano South District Assembly has rehabilitated the Abesewa Junior Secondary School at a cost of 20 million cedis.

A severe rainstorm which led to its temporary closure in February this year hit the school. A six classroomed block for the primary school which was also affected is now being rebuilt an estimated cost of 94 million cedis.

Mr Anthony Kusi, District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South who was speaking to the GNA at Mankranso on Thursday said the assembly has a programme to improve educational standards in the district.

It will do this by providing scholarships to brilliant but needy students in second cycle institutions. He therefore called on parents to send their children, especially the girls, to school.
