Assemblies of God begins construction of chapel complex

Accra, Feb. 18, GNA- The Holy Ghost Revival Centre Assemblies of God Church at South Odorkor in Accra, is building a 2,000-seater chapel complex estimated to cost GH Cedis 635,000. The project, which is expected to be completed in five years, would incorporate facilities such as a two-storey auditorium, three-storey offices, baptistery, youth hall, meeting and conference rooms, changing rooms and guest rooms for visiting pastors.

The Reverend Gaylord Aidoo-Dadzie, the Senior Pastor of the Church, who performed the symbolic block laying, said the Church wanted to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community. He said the Church had constructed a school building complex on the request of the people and added that the Church complex would also serve as a meeting place and platform for other social activities. Rev. Aidoo-Dadzie urged the Church members to be diligent and faithful in their endeavours so as to receive God’s blessings to enable them to contribute towards the successful completion of the project. Mr Winfred Frealar Kwamivi, Chairman of the Building Committee, said the initiative and vision marked another historic milestone in the life of the Church and called for the support of all members. 18 Feb. 08
