Aspiring MP pledges to construct traditional council at Buem

Bodada (V/R), Oct 27, GNA – Mr Henry Ford Kamel, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem, has pledged to construct a traditional council befitting the status of Buem when re-elected.

He said the project would be funded from his constituency interventions in addition to external support. Mr Kamel, who was addressing party supporters at Bodada on Friday, said his tenure as MP witnessed development in areas such as health, education, scholarship schemes as well as payment of communities’ counterpart funding in the water sector.

Mr Kamel said accelerated development could only come from the NDC and urged the electorate to vote for the party and once again entrust the destiny of the country to the NDC for a better Ghana. He called for civility before, during and after the general election, stressing on issues and not personality attacks. 27 Oct 08
