Asiedu Nketia escapes gun attack

General Secretary for the main opposition National Democratic Congress says he was attacked by gun men at Suhum in the Eastern Region.

According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, he was returning from a visit to his home region, the Brong Ahafo Region when a Tundra truck full of masked men crossed his vehicle and started hitting the car.

Speaking in an interview, Asiedu Nketia says, “the men were all masked while wielding AK 47 guns.”

“They crossed my vehicle around Suhum while I was returning from the Brong Ahafo Region…initially, the Tundra was part of a convoy that drove past us and quickly made a u-turn to cross my vehicle.”

“I am not sure they are policemen because police don’t wear mask and so I ask how these thugs got access to police AK 47 assault rifles driving in broad day light like that.”
