Ashanti Regional Minister scatters ‘noisy’ church service

The Ashanti regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah stormed a church early Saturday to protest “incessant noise making” by the church because of an ongoing all-night service there.

Members of the church, the House of Bethel Ministries at Anwomaso High Tension in the Ashanti region were stunned when the Minister who lives nearby overruns service, demanding its immediate end.

A source close to the development reported that Mr. Osei-Mensah angrily snatched a microphone from one of the church’s singers, knocking a musical instrument to the floor in a bid to vent his spleen over the rowdiness of the service.

The action of the Minister, the source told Ultimate FM’s Isaac Bediako some Junior Pastors of the church leading to a short verbal melee. They thus refused to stop the service, added the source.

The regional Minister, according to the report then went out of the church returning a few minutes later with heavily built Policemen who stopped the service abruptly and arrested the Head Pastor Rev. Kwame Takyi.

He was taken to the Tech Police station for questioning and checks from the station indicate that the pastor had since been granted bail.
