Asawase MP hands over repaired vehicle to police

Kumasi, Jan 09, GNA – Alhaji Muntaka M. Mubarak, the Member of Parliament for Asawase, has handed over a Land Rover belonging to the Asawase District Police that he rehabilitated at the cost of 17 million cedis. Handing over the vehicle at the district’s West African Soldiers Social Activity (WASSA) in Kumasi, Alhaji Mubarak said he repaired the vehicle to facilitate patrol activities of the police to curb crime in the community in particular and the city in general. The Land Rover broke down several years ago and was parked at the yard, thereby making mobility very difficult for the personnel who had to rely on only one vehicle. Mr Yaw Amponsah, a businessman who has built a two-seat KVIP for the Asawase police, also handed over keys to the toilet to the police. ACP Frank Adu-Poku, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, who received the keys to the rehabilitated vehicle and the toilets, expressed the appreciation of the police administration to Alhaji Mubarak and the businessman for their assistance.
