Asante Kotoko has secured their third new signing ahead of the 2025/26 season, adding forward Johnson Oppong to their roster on a two-year deal.
Described by the club as a “quick and dynamic winger,” Oppong brings experience from both domestic and European leagues. His arrival is part of Kotoko’s preparations for their return to the CAF Confederation Cup after a two-year absence.
The Porcupine Warriors recently finished third in the Ghana Premier League but ended the season on a high note with an FA Cup victory, securing their place in next season’s continental competition.
Oppong joins left-back Francis Acquah, signed from Bechem United, and midfielder Hubert Gyau from Berekum Chelsea, as part of Kotoko’s transfer campaign to strengthen their squad.
The club has also seen some departures, with players such as goalkeeper Frederick Asare, Daniel Adrian Adjetey, Kwasi Asante, Samuel Tenadu, and Sampson Eduku leaving by mutual agreement.
Kotoko fans are eager to see how the new recruits will perform as the team aims to make a strong comeback on the continental stage and reclaim domestic glory.
