Arsonist assists police in investigation

Emmanuel Armo Ackah Eryea Mozu, a 60-year old farmer, who allegedly set fire to a premix station at Agyeza near Tikobo Number One in the Jomoro District, is assisting the police in their investigations.

Mr Stephen Kesse, Zonal Co-ordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), told the GNA in Half Assini that the suspect was arrested on Saturday night after going into hiding for sometime after the incident.

The premix station is sited on the suspect’s family land and he, therefore, approached the premix fuel committee for the monthly rent and was told his sister had come for it.

Mr Kesse said the victim insisted on taking it or threatened to set the place ablaze. Not quite long after his departure, the station caught fire after all the workers had left.
