ARPGI hails Ghana @ 52

Accra, Ghana – The Association of Retired Persons in Ghana (ARPGI) wishes Ghana well on the celebration of Ghana’s independence 52 years ago. The statement also congratulates President John Atta Mills and Vice President John Dramani Mahama on their election.

Mr. King David Affadzi, Founder and Executive Director of ARPGI eschews the plight of the elderly in society who are gravely neglected and hopes the new administration will equally highlight them.

Mr. Affadzi further noted the National Pension Scheme and the Social Security Scheme as area that the government could be expanded to ensure coverage of many in that community.

ARPGI is a not for profit association dedicated to addressing the increasing needs of older (50+) persons in the Ghanaian society. It seeks to achieve this through education, advocacy and selfless service to enhance the quality of life for the aged by promoting independence, dignity and purpose.
