Anti-child trafficking clubs inaugurated

Bortianor (G/A), March 3, GNA- The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs on Tuesday committed about 350 million cedis for the rehabilitation of children who returned from Akosombo and Yeji under in the Eastern Region and were under child-trafficking. In addition, 82 school uniforms were also distributed to their parents.

Mr Samuel Nii Aryeetey Attoh, Ga District Chief Executive told the district.

The communities are Kokrobite, Oshieyie, Bortianor, Tsokomey and Aplaku.

He called on parents and guardians to protect their children against exploitation adding, “children are the future leaders and the development of this nation depends on them”. Mr Attoh advised parents not to exchange their children for monetary gains and appealed to the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise funds released to them.
