Animal Science Department honours the late Professor

Legon, Aug. 27, GNA – The Animal Science Department of the College of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences of the University of Ghana’ Legon, has named It’s Graduate Library after the Late Professor Reginald Kwadwo Gyapaning Assoku.

This was in recognition of his monetary support of forty million cedis towards the refurbishment of the Graduate Library.

Inaugurating the Library, the Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Yankah said the University makes special dedications to individuals, who provide support to enable the University achieve its vision of providing Postgraduate studies.

The Registrar of the University Mr A. T. Konu commended Professor Assoku for his exemplary life and asked other scholars to emulate him in the provision of quality graduates in the country.

Professor R. K. G. Assoku served as the Head of the Department of Animal Science for more than seventeen years. He also served in various capacities including the Dean of Graduate Studies of the University of Ghana, Legon.
