Angry GETfund contractors threaten to besiege office today

Some aggrieved contractors working with the GETfund have accused the fund administrator of discrimination in the payment of contractors working with the fund.

The contractors who have threatened to besiege the offices of the GETfund today say in spite of their agitations over delayed payments in recent times, most of them are still yet to be paid their monies.

A member of the aggrieved contractors Emmanuel Kofi Mensa told XYZ News said the GETfund administrator is using the money to pay his cronies.

But the GETfund secretariat has denies the allegations.

According to its Public Relations Officer, Steven Baffour, the Bank of Ghana is yet to release monies that have been allocated to the secretariat by the Finance Ministry.

“We shouldn’t have this problem, so let us all work together, get the money into our accounts and as soon as we get the money, they know that we will call them to come for their checks” Mr. Baffour said.**
