Andrew Tabiti Stuns Ghana’s Jacob Dickson with Fourth-Round Knockout to Claim WBC African Cruiserweight Title

American boxer Andrew Tabiti delivered a sensational performance at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday night, defeating Ghana’s Jacob Dickson with a fourth-round knockout to clinch the WBC African Cruiserweight title.

The headline bout of the “Battle of the Beasts” event, organized by Legacy Rise Sports and Amir Khan Promotions, drew an electric crowd, including Ghanaian boxing icons Azumah Nelson and Joshua Clottey. However, the night belonged to Tabiti, who silenced the home fans with a masterclass of power and precision.

Tabiti, who once trained under the legendary Floyd Mayweather Sr., set the tone early, sending Dickson to the canvas with a devastating uppercut in the first round. The American’s relentless onslaught continued, as he targeted Dickson with punishing body shots and sharp combinations.

Despite encouragement from the partisan crowd, Dickson struggled to find his rhythm. The Ghanaian cruiserweight hit the canvas three times before the referee waved off the fight at 1 minute and 34 seconds into the fourth round after another brutal blow from Tabiti.

With the win, Tabiti improves his record to 21 victories in 23 professional fights, marking a triumphant return to form on African soil.

For Dickson, who faced the first major setback of his career, the loss serves as a harsh learning experience on home turf. The local favorite now faces the challenge of regrouping and rebuilding as he looks to reignite his promising career.

The “Battle of the Beasts” delivered on its promise, but it was Andrew Tabiti who left an indelible mark, cementing his status as a force to be reckoned with in the cruiserweight division.
