America is not a profitable place for blacks – Diasporans

As majority of Africans especially Ghanaians continue to dream to live and work in the United State of America (USA), holding the erroneous impression it is the only way for them to become successful in life, a Diasporan has revealed that present day America is not a profitable country for Africans to work.

Dr. Sandi Williams, a Diasporan from United State of America and founder of a Wealth of Women, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) based in USA, made the shocking revelation when she and her team paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Edina Traditional Council, Nana Kodwo Condua VI and his sub chiefs as the citizens of Elmina in the Central Region.

She bemoaned the situation where some Ghanaians struggle and get stranded at the America instead of them staying in Ghana to use their talents to develop themselves.

Dr. Williams stated that sometimes Ghanaians think USA is such a perfect place to live, assuring that Africa precisely Ghana is a peaceful and profitable country and appealed to Ghanaians to cherish what they have and make use of it.

“Don’t worry about getting to America but rather stay here in Ghana and use your talent as well as education and energy right in the country of your birth. Because when you get to America, your citizenship is not the same citizenship of Americans so stay where you are and work” she urged.

On his part, Nana Condua expressed happiness and welcomed the three Diasporans including Dr. Wesley Bryant, Philip Longdon and Dr. Sandi Williams in his palace and thanked them for their visit to their motherland.

The Omanhene took advantage of the visit and appealed to them to assist the area with healthcare delivery and education by donating to his education endowment fund set to cater for needy but brilliant children of the area.

He again appealed to them to provide the assembly with logistics for clean-up exercise to improve sanitation in the traditional council since the area is a major tourist site.
