Alan has lost touch with reality – Abu Ramadan

The National Youth Organizer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan says the NPP Presidential Aspirant Alan Kyeremateng has lost touch with reality.

According to Abu Ramadan, Alan Kyeremateng’s quest to become the flagbearer of the NPP is becoming a mirage since he (Alan) will not attain the ultimate prize, come October 18, 2014.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Abu Ramadan stated emphatically that Alan Kyeremateng will surely lose the flagbearership slot to the 2012 Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

To him, Nana Addo is apparently the ultimate choice of the delegates.

Alan Kyeremateng polled 59 votes representing 7.89% while his major competitor Nana Addo, polled the highest votes by attaining 598 representing 80.81 percent out of the total 740 votes cast.

And despite calls for Alan Kyeremateng and the other three aspirants for the NPP Flagbearership to step down and allow Nana Addo to contest unopposed, the former (Alan) insists he will not pull out of the race.

“I have a clear indication that the NPP fraternity believes l am capable of leading our party to victory in the 2016 elections. I take this charge very seriously and assure our party members that I will do all within my power, and by the Grace of the Almighty God, not to let them down.”

The PNC National Youth Organizer was cocksure Alan’s adamant posture not to bow out of the contest will on October 18 become a “failed exercise” because in his conviction, the delegates won’t give him the majority votes.

“It is a battle for survival for the future…This home stretch battle for October 18th; there is a heavy possibility that his relevance would have been lost at the end of the battle or rather his relevance will still be there,” he said.
