Akyempim Rural Bank shareholders to split over 70-million cedis

Gomoa-Dawurampong (C/R), July 12, GNA – The Akyempim Rural Bank in the Central Region has set aside a total of 70,957,920 cedis as dividend for disbursement to shareholders.

Mr Jacob Wellington Assan, Supervising Manager, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, said the Board of Directors had already approved of it.

He said under the approved dividend, each share would attract 60 cedis.

Mr Assan said the membership of shareholders had shot up considerably in recent years and appealed to them to strive to increase their shareholdings to strengthen the bank’s financial base. Addressing a group of small-scale entrepreneurs who patronised the operations of the Bank earlier, Mr Assan counselled them to ensure maximum efficiency in their operations to enable them to repay their loans t in good time.

Mr Assan advised loan defaulters to co-operate with the Bank’s loans recovery team to facilitate easy settlement.
