Akufo-Addo votes at Kyebi

The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has cast his ballot in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary election.

Mr Akufo-Addo voted at the Rock of Ages polling station at Kyebi in the Abuakwa South constituency.

His wife Rebecca Akufo-Addo and four of his daughters all voted after him.

Mr Akufo-Addo is one of seven candidates contesting to become president of Ghana in the next four years.

His main contender is President John Mahama of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), who is seeking re-election for a second and final four-year term.

The rest are former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ivor Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Edward Mahama of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), and independent candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah.
