Akufo-Addo remembers JB Danquah

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has laid a wreath in honour of his uncle, Dr JB Danquah, who died 52 years ago today, February 4 2017.

Dr J.B Danquah was a legal practitioner and member of the Big Six who began the struggle for political freedom from the British colonial masters.

The president, while speaking at a short ceremony in Kyebi, described the late J.B Danquah as the light of the nation whose legacy cannot be forgotten.

Abuakwa South MP Samuel Atta Akyea, for his part, said the late J.B Danquah was the president the country never had.

Present at the ceremony were the Minster for the Interior Ambrose Dery; Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah, and other bigwigs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
