Akim Oda Youth Club assist Hospital

Akim Oda, July 1, GNA – Members of the Akim Oda Youth Club on Friday presented a quantity of toiletries and iodated salt valued at about 1.5 million cedis to the Akim Oda Government Hospital. The presentation of the items was preceded by a four-hour clean-up exercise at the hospital during which the youth weeded the surroundings and scrubbed walls

Speaking to Newsmen later, the Interim President of the Club, Mr Victor Tsegah said the presentation of the items was to supplement government’s efforts in catering for the patients of the hospital. On the clean-up exercise, he said it was their personal contribution to ensure cleanliness at the hospital, adding that the exercise would be extended to other parts of the town on weekly basis.

Mr Tsegah was grateful to Oda Sawmills, State Insurance Company(SIC) and Hecta School’s Complex for sponsoring the activities of the club . The Hospital Administrator, Mr Gyamfi Yeboah who received the items on behalf of the hospital expressed his appreciation to the members of the club and urged other youth associations to emulate them.
