Akim Maase undertakes self-help project

Akim Maase (E/R), Aug. 7, GNA The Chiefs and people of Akim Maase in the East Akim District of the Eastern region has embarked on a 200-million-cedis development project in the town.

The project included the rehabilitation of an eight-kilometre Akim Maase to Old Tafo road, construction of a community library, market and the rehabilitation of the durbar and funeral grounds.

This was disclosed by the Assembly Member for the area, Mr Twum Antwi in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Akim Maase. He said the East Akim District Assembly was sponsoring the projects and the people were supporting it with communal labour and voluntary contributions.
