Ajumako District benefit from World Bank package

Ajumako (C/R) Jan. 29, GNA – The Ajumako Enyan Essiam District branch of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ghana Education Service on Thursday presented 30 packets of roofing sheets, 22 bicycles, 12 sewing machines worth millions of cedis to 67 facilitators in the district for their dedicated service. The items presented by Mr Kenneth Obempong, the acting DCE was provided by the World Bank as incentive package to the facilitators. Making the presentation, Mr Obempong commended the beneficiaries for their voluntary spirit and urged them to work harder than before to educate more people in the district to read and write. Mr Justice Appiah, coordinator of NFED said the division had plans to introduce micro financing of income generating activities and urged the facilitators to form groups to enable them to secure loans to improve their living conditions. 29 Jan. 05
