Ahafo-Ano North NDC youth elects officers

Tepa (Ash), Sept. 2, GNA – The Ahafo-Ano North constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected Mr Albert Kusi as its chairman of the youth wing of the party.

At the election supervised by Mr Yaw Obimpeh, Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser of the party, Nana Sarfo-Kantanka was elected the vice-chairman, while the post of women’s organiser went to Madam Agartha Duku.

Speaking after the election, Mr Obimpeh said the election was to ensure the re-organisation of the youth of the party in the constituency into a formidable wing of the party.

He commended the party’s youth in the constituency for the good work they have been doing and urged them to continue with their good work.

Mr Obimpeh urged the newly elected executive to work hard to return the party to power in 2008 to enable the party to continue with its good work from where it left off.

He attributed the present hardships in the country to the failure of the NPP government and therefore, asked them to work hard to effect a change of government, come 2008.

Madam Abrafi, the regional women’s organiser called on women members of the party to forget the past and forge ahead in unity and work towards winning the 2008 elections massively. Mr Kusi thanked the members for the honour done him and pledged to work tirelessly with them to wrestle the seat from the NPP.
