Ahafo-Ano North DCE tours communities

Tepa (Ash), Feb 22, GNA – Mr Akwasi Adu-Poku, District Chief Executive for Ahafo-Ano North, has toured a number of communities to explain government policies and programmes.

He also inspected projects being undertaken by the Assembly. Communities visited were Temebabi, Ankaase, Akrofoso, Danyame and Abonsuaso.

The DCE explained the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and its benefits and appealed to the people to embrace it by contributing to the scheme when it took off in the district.

Mr Adu-Poku advised the people to register in their numbers when the voters’ registration opens in March for the forthcoming elections. He urged communities benefiting from the Social Investment Fund (SIF) to prepare sites for the projects to take off.

Mr Charles Amoah, Assemblyman for Ankaase, appealed to the people to honour their tax obligation to enable the Assembly to provide development projects.

He said the assembly would assist any community that initiated self-help project and said the town would benefit from the construction of a six-classroom block including an office and a store.
