Agyarko: Accept NEC’s suspensions

A member of the newly-formed campaign team of Nana Akufo-Addo, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, has called on members of the party to learn to accept decisions made by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.

Mr Boakye Agyarko, in an interview with Class News, further called on the media to stop giving attention to its suspended members, who have failed to accept the decision of the NEC.

He expressed shock that people, including journalists, will try to resurrect a matter that the highest body has decided on.

“The Supreme Court gave its judgment on the petition, I don’t see journalists going to prise the Supreme Court matter,” he said.

“The National Council of the NPP is the apex body; they have given their ruling, end of matter. Nobody can go and resurrect matters adjudicated upon and closed by our National Council and make issues out of it. It is dead,” he stressed.

Commenting on Mr. Sammy Crabbe’s insistence that he is still at post, Mr Agyarko said: “The National Council, the highest body of the party, suspended Sammy Crabbe. That should end the matter. So, when he goes around saying he is still at post, treat it with the contempt it deserves.”
