AGC causes havoc at Bibiani

The Guide observes in a front-page story that surface mining by mining companies continues to enslave and dehumanise Ghanaians wherever such activities take place.

The paper says for instance that at Bibiani in the Western Region, the Ashanti Goldfields Company (AGC) Bibiani Limited, is wreaking serious inhuman havoc on the citizens.

It says while heavy blasting leaves buildings with cracks, the creation of trenches in blatant disregard for environmental safety, is threatening the lives of the people.

The Guide says rain water has filled the trenches and spilled over into people’s homes, inundating their rooms and destroying property.
