African Leaders urged to call emergency meeting to resolve current problems

Accra, June 9, GNA – African Leaders should wake up from their slumber and take up the destiny of the Continent into their own hands by calling an emergency meeting to resolve the current problems plaguing Africa.

The present situation where Africa Leaders have surrendered their national sovereignty to Neo-Colonialists is very disturbing, the re-registered Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute, said in release to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday.

The release, which was signed by Ben Anyagre, Secretary to the Interim Committee, said imperialist Western powers have begun a systematic approach to re-colonise Africa, citing what has happened in Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire and the attempt by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO)= to assassinate Colonel Muammar Gaddafi of Libya.

It said the claim by NATO that it aimed to protect civilians was false adding that the main reason was to replace the current Leaders with their stooges so that the West could take control of the natural resources of Africa.

The release said: 93When Osagyefo (Dr Kwame Nkrumah, First President of Ghana) said the independence of Ghana was meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the African Continent,” he meant that Africa should have its independence and total economic liberation of all African states.

It said the present situation where Africa Leaders had surrendered their sovereignty to the Imperialists was a disappointment to the people of Africa and an affront to Nkrumahism.
