Afigya-Sekyere assembly releases money for school block

Jamasi (Ash), April 24, GNA – The Afigya-Sekyere district assembly has released 210 million cedis for the construction of a new block of three classrooms for the Agona Seventh-Day Adventist Junior Secondary School to ease the school’s accommodation difficulties.

Mr Ben Abankwah, the District Chief Executive, said the assembly realised the important role the SDA church was playing in education, hence its support to boost the Church’s developmental efforts. Mr Abankwah was addressing the biennial convention of the Agona zone Adventist Singing Band Unions at Jamasi on Saturday. The DCE asked members of the union to pray and fast for peaceful elections in December.

Mr Abankwah said the common goal for all the political parties in the country was to move the nation forward and that the only difference was that they were adopting different approaches towards this goal. He therefore asked Ghanaians not to let political differences divide them. “Before the introduction of Western style politics in the country, we were all one people”, he added. Social Church Prayer
