Afigya-Kwabre District Assembly launches official logo

Kodie (Ash), April 8, GNA – The newly-created Afigya-Kwabre District Assembly on Tuesday launched its official logo at Kodie, the district capital. The design for the logo was created through the collaborative efforts of the teachers and students of Osei Tutu II College at Tetrem and it is believed to depict cultural, social, economic and physical sectors of the district. The logo has a circle with a black stool in the centre and on it is a pod of cocoa, fingers of plantain, quarry stones, spinner, hammer, gear and olive leaves.

At a general meeting, the members adopted Peace, Unity and Development as their Motto. Mr. Osei Poku, the District Coordinating Director said the Assembly served as a link between the Chiefs, the various towns and villages and the government. He called on the members to work assiduously to enhance a systematic socio-economic development of the district. 8 April 09
