Adansua gets a new Chief

Adansua (Ash), Feb. 17, GNA – A 53-year-old Clearing Agent has been installed chief of Adansua near Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District. Nana Kwame Wiredu succeeds his uncle, Nana Kwame Owusu, who died a year ago.

The new chief pledged to be honest and accountable to the people and to work towards the development of the community. Nana Wiredu said the promotion of education and health was his priority and called on the people to support him fulfil his promises. He advised parents to take advantage of government’s education interventions including the School Feeding Programme and Capitation Grant and send their children to school to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills needed for national development. Nana Wiredu said “Children must be given the opportunity to go to school and harness their talents.”

Nana Owusu Sekyere, Gyaasewahene of the Nstua Traditional Area, called on the new chief conduct himself well to win the trust and confidence of the people.
