Squatters along the Achimota rail lines in Accra have turned the Accra-Nsawam train into in a lavatory.
The Accra-Nsawam shuttle has not been operating for about two months now to pave way for rehabilitation of the rail tracks.
But squatters have taken advantage of the circumstance to defecate in the stationed coaches. Garbage generated from domestic activities also end up in the train.
The coaches have also become a safe haven for miscreants.
Managers of Ghana Railways Authority declined to comment on the issue when contacted by TV3. Meanwhile, traders at Nsawam have also resorted to transacting brisk business daily on the rail tracks.
