Abuakwa health centre constructs new ward and OPD shed

Abuakwa (Ash), Feb 08, GNA – The management of the Abuakwa Health Centre has built an additional recovery ward and a shed for outpatients. The projects were financed from internally generated funds from the centre with support from the Atwima-Nwabiagya District Assembly. Mr Imoro Azumah, Senior Medical Assistant in-charge of the centre, said the projects were undertaken to ease congestion since daily clinical attendance was increasing.

He said the present bed-state of the centre was six, which was woefully inadequate for the increasing population of the catchments area.

Mr Azumah called for assistance from civil societies and philanthropists.
