Ablekuma Central by-election postponed

The by-election for the vacant Ablekuma Central Constituency seat slated for March 12 has been re-scheduled for March 26. A statement issued by the Electoral Commission in Accra on Monday, said nomination of candidates will now take place on Friday, March five, 1999, at the Ministry of Local Government Training School at Latebiokorshie from 0900 hours to 1200 hours and from 1400 hours to 1700 hours. The by-election has been necessitated by the death of Mr Charles Crabbe who was the New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the constituency.
