Newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organizer Abanga Yakubu Fusani has thanked party delegates and members after securing the position, promising to remain available to serve them at all times.
In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Abanga said the election of the party’s national officers had created the foundation for a renewed effort to mobilise, organise, empower and unite the NPP’s youth base ahead of Victory 2028 and the party’s return to power.
Addressing the delegates, he said: “Come rain or shine, in good times and difficult moments, I shall always be available to serve you.”
Abanga said his victory carried a responsibility that he accepted with “the utmost seriousness”, adding that the task of strengthening the youth wing began immediately.
“My dear Commanders, cherished Youth Delegates and the entire NPP family, today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude, humility and an overwhelming sense of responsibility,” he said.
He said the support he received reflected the party’s recognition of loyalty, dedication, sacrifice and service. Abanga added that he had committed his time, energy and resources to the NPP’s growth despite the difficulties he had faced.
The newly elected youth organiser described the mandate given to him as both “huge and meritorious”, saying he accepted it with joy, humility and renewed commitment.
Abanga dedicated his victory to his “political father”, John Boadu, Chairman Elect, whose guidance and support he said had been important throughout his political journey.
He also praised his campaign team for its resilience, discipline, tact, sacrifice and “extraordinary strategic brilliance”, saying its members had continued to believe in him during the contest.
The NPP official expressed appreciation to those who supported the “Obiaaa Bedidi” brand from its beginning, particularly during a period when the outcome of the campaign remained uncertain.
He said he held no bitterness towards those who had doubted that he would win, attributing the result to God.
“And He did it in the most beautiful way,” Abanga said. “This victory is a reminder that when God opens a door, no amount of doubt, opposition or uncertainty can shut it.”
He reserved special thanks for his wife and family, citing their sacrifices, prayers, patience, encouragement and unwavering belief as a source of strength.
Abanga said the result was more than an election victory, describing it as “a trust earned, a responsibility accepted and a new chapter of service begun”.
He thanked every Youth Delegate for believing in him and in the vision of a stronger, more vibrant, united, resourceful and victorious youth wing.
“The mandate is yours. The responsibility is mine. The victory ahead belongs to all of us,” he said.
