US President Bush to visit Ghana

Accra, Feb. 6, GNA – The Ministry of Information and National Orientation on Wednesday invited all media personnel desirous of covering the visit of the President of the United States of America, George Bush to Ghana to apply for accreditation to the Director of the Information Services Department.

According to an official statement issued in Accra, the interested parties could also contact Mrs Evelyn Anthony, Head of Media Liaison in Room 24 at the Ministry or on telephone number 222483 on or before Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.

It said the accreditation would be a joint exercise between the Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United States of America and the Information Service Department.

The statement said the applicants should send the following requirements to the US embassy by email at: pressaccra@state.gov or by fax at 021-741692 – with their full names, date of birth, passport number(if applicable) or press card number, place of birth, and mother’s maiden name.

“For questions about this requirement, please contact Zainab Mahama on 021-741339,” it added.
