Ambulance embarks on first aid education

Sekondi, Nov. 14, GNA – The Saint John Ambulance has launched a first aid education programme for senior high schools in Sekondi-Takoradi. Miss Isabella Playman, Assistant Western Regional Coordinator of the Ambulance, told the GNA on Tuesday that the programme was to educate students on how to administer first aid at school, home and communities to save lives.

Miss Playman said topics treated include minor accidents, fainting, unconsciousness, burns, scars, animal bites and stings. She said schools that have been covered include Fijai Senior High, Takoradi Senior and Methodist Senior High schools. Schools that would be covered are Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High, Ahantaman Senior High, Sekondi Senior High Schools and Takoradi Technical Institute.
