Youth Organiser Urges Ghanaians to Retain NPP in 2008

Space FM, Sunyani, August 18- The Brong-Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the NPP, Mr. Alfred Ofori Annye, has assured Ghanaians that when the party is returned to power in 2008, it would continue to pursue different development agenda from what has happened under the leadership of President Kufour.

Speaking to Space FM in Sunyani, the youth organiser said president Kufour has completed his assignment of ensuring peace and stability and also laying the foundation for the economic take-off of the country.

He stated that the next NPP government would focus attention on consolidating the Youth Employment Programme, health, transport, communication, agriculture and education programmes to further improve the standards of living.

Mr. Annye pointed out that the NPP would continue with the open-door policy that has ensured that any Ghanaian, no matter his or her political affiliation, who has something meaningful to offer the nation, is given the chance to serve.

He said the NPP under president Kufour has instituted the National Health Insurance Scheme, the Capitation Grant, the School Feeding Programme among others to enhance the development of the society.

Mr. Annye urged the electorate to critically assess the promises of the opposition parties and find out for themselves if such promises are attainable.
