COCOBOD closes main cocoa season

Accra, May 30, GNA – The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) on Wednesday announced the closure of the 2006/7 main crop cocoa season on Thursday May 31, 2007.

A statement signed by Mr. Isaac Osei, Chief Executive of the Board said the closure was to assist the Licensed Buying Companies to obtain the final returns from up-country stations. It said the board had decided that returns on the declared purchases would be accepted up to 4.00pm on Thursday June 7, 2007.
