Pursue the path of reconciliation – Archdeacon

Kumasi, Sept 27, GNA–Christians have been asked to encourage Ghanaians to pursue the path of peace, through the spirit of reconciliation and harmony.

The Venerable Edmund Dawson-Ahmoah, Archdeacon of the Kumasi Anglican Church, said Christians have a duty to bring the society together and purge it of all forms of evils.

He was preaching the sermon at the inauguration of the Tanoso Saint Luke’s Anglican Parish in Kumasi on Sunday. The Tanoso Anglican church, which was established in 1942, was carved out of the Suntreso St. Paul’s parish.

As a parish, it would undertake evangelisation of the people of the Atwima district of the Ashanti region. The Rev Dawson-Ahmoah said Christians could contribute to the transformation of the society through Christ-centred teachings and by leading morally upright lives.

The Right Rev. Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, performed the inaugural ceremony and dedicated the parish’s new choir robes.
