MDCC members urged to remain calm

Gomoa Mozano (C/R), Sept 4, GNA – Nana Obo Kuma Atta, Chief of Gomoa Dasum in the Central Region, has called on members of the Musama Disco Christo Church (MDCC) not to allow impasse within the Church to deter them from their God.

He said it was unfortunate that some congregations refused to participate in the activities of the Church.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Mozano after the celebration of the 93Peace Festival=94, Nana Atta acknowledged that the MDCC had gone through 93an ordeal=94 but called for an end to it. He described the celebration as a victory for the Church and stated that what the members should know was that they worshiped b God and not a human being.

Nana Atta known in private life as Mr Archibald Ato Paitoo, a Clearing Agent at Tema advised them to be steadfast and to resist the ‘work of the devil’.

He called on those who did not attend this year’s festival to redouble their efforts to contribute towards the development of the Church.

Nana Atta urged them to intensify their prayers and to seek the welfare each other to promote their socio-economic advancement. He expressed concern about anti social vices among the youth and appealed to Churches to help in combating the situation. Nana Atta cautioned the youth to refrain from premarital sex to avoid teenage pregnancies and the HIV /AIDS pandemic. He stressed the need for school children to study hard and urged parents to provide them with their basic needs to enhance their academic work.
