Korle-Bu suspends admissions to Surgical/Medical Emergency Unit

Accra, July 20, GNA – The authorities of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Thursday announced the suspension of admission of new cases to the Surgical/Medical Emergency Unit of the Hospital until 1700 hours on Saturday.

A statement signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, said that the move was to allow the unit to decongest following heavy intakes in the past few days and in the process making it impossible to admit new cases.

The statement advised members of the public, who required emergency services, to call at other health facilities for assistance.
