Man poisons himself at Dumasi

Dumasi (W/R) July 20 -GNA- A 36-year-old farmer Robert Appiah popularly known as Ekwo of Dumase near Bogoso in the Wassa West District on Monday, July 17 died after drinking a mixture of Gramozone and Atrazin.

According to his sister Akosua Asantewaa, on Monday morning, the deceased mixed Gramozone with Atrazine believed to be herbicide and drank it.

She said after drinking it the deceased went to visit his dead brother’s children in the same village.

After that, she said, the deceased went to a place where her wife sells food and started vomiting a green substance. He was then rushed to a clinic at Bogoso where he died a few hours later.
