The suspects all women were invited to the Sunyani Municipal Police station for further investigations.

Chief Superintendent of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Municipal Police Commander told newsmen after the operation that Mr John Amoah, Marketing Manager of ATL in the morning informed the police that some traders were selling fake products of the company, its designs, logos and brand names.

He said this was a follow-up to publications in the media by the management of the company on March 27, 28 and 29 this year to arrest traders found selling their fake products. Mr Amoah said the operation was not against smugglers but to protect their designs, employees, shareholders and payment of taxes to the government.
