Copyright Office holds seminar on Intellectual Property

Accra, May 5, GNA – The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a UN specialized agency on matters relating to intellectual property rights, in collaboration with Copyright Ghana is organizing a national seminar on the new Copyright Act from May 8 to 10, this year, in Accra.

The seminar which will be on the theme: “Copyright protection and National Development,” is aimed at educating stakeholders in the industry, including musicians, performers, authors, publishers, phonogram producers, software developers and broadcasters as well as users of their products. A statement issued by the Copyright Ghana office said participants would discuss Act 690 and new issues emerging in the international scene. 05 May 06
