Police search for suspected car thief

Accra, April 25, GNA – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police Service is looking for one Frank Ocran alias Kwasi Ofori in connection with the theft of a Chevrolet Silverado Pickup with registration number GT 1204 U.

A statement on Tuesday signed by Inspector Joseph B. Darkwah, for the Director of Police Public Affairs, said the suspect is also being sought to answer questions in relation to building documents on a house at East Legon in Accra, and an American passport belonging to Madam Francisca Oware of East Legon.

The statement said the suspect is about 48 years old, 1.8 metres (5.9 inches) tall, dark in complexion and has grey hair and grey beard. He hails from Apasu in Akwamu near Akosombo in the Eastern Region. The statement said the suspect is believed to be hiding in his hometown; Abeka Lapaz, University of Ghana Campus; Newtown and Pig Farm, all in Accra or in Kumasi.

It said anyone with information about Frank should report to the Director-General, CID Headquarters on telephone numbers 021- 784589; 021-773900 or 027-7311866 or to the nearest Police Station for handsome reward.
