Four people die in an accident at Adensua

Nkawkaw, Feb.01, GNA – Four people died on the spot when a taxi was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Land Cruiser at Adensua, near Nkawkaw on the Accra – Kumasi road on Tuesday. The dead, made up of two men and two women are yet to be identified, and were travelling from Nkawkaw to Kwahu-Daa in the Kwahu West district.

According to Police sources, driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Eric Owusu received injuries and was on admission at the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw while the corpses had been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary. It said Owusu was coming from Kumasi and in an attempt to overtake a double cabin Nissan pick-up on a hill towards Adensua he collided with the taxi.

The source reminded drivers particularly on the highway that due to the current foggy weather in the morning, they should exercise restraint and avoid over-speeding and unnecessary over-taking.
