Ekumfi Ahmadiyya Secondary gets TV for Distance Learning

Ekumfi Essarkyir (C/R), Dec 14, GNA – The Government has presented a colour Television set to the Ekumfi T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School for its Distance Learning Programme. The School was among 25 other institutions in the Mfantseman District to benefit from the package, which was presented by the District Chief Executive, Mr Robert Quainoo-Arthur and Miss Vivian Etroo, District Director of Education. The DCE said the government attached great importance to the programme since it could address some of the problems created as a result of the shortage of teachers in schools.

Miss Etroo advised teachers to let students have access to the facility and to use them for the purpose it was donated. Mr Dimbie Mumuni Issah, Headmaster commended the government for the gesture and gave the assurance that it would enhance teaching and learning. He said that the school was one of the pilot Schools selected for the Distance Learning programme when it was introduced in 2003. The Headmaster appealed for a Video Deck to record programmes for future use.
