District level elections in Yendi was peaceful

Yendi, Aug 12, GNA – Turnout at the District Assembly and Unit Committee election at Yendi was disappointing but it ended peacefully. However, one thing that came out clearly is that enthusiasm of the electorate towards the district and unit committee elections is fast fading and needed to be rekindled. Alhaji Abubakar Sadik Boniface, the Northern Regional Minister, was in Yendi and toured some of the polling stations.
