NGO initiates development projects

Amasaman (GA), July 12, GNA – The Every Child Ministry, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) is undertaking a number of projects at Akotoshie Number two near Amasaman in the Ga West District. The projects include a four-classroom block consisting of Kindergarten, primary dormitory and a library.

Briefing the Ghana News agency about the projects, representatives of the NGO, Mr and Mrs John Ruster said the school projects were a contribution of the NGO towards education in area.

The NGO has its headquarters in the USA. Meanwhile, the Children’s Haven of Hope, which has been completed, is offering formal education for 40 children, including 26 street children.

The representatives said Haven of Hope was opened in November 2002 by Every Child Ministry with the aim of raising the social and economic lives of the youth, orphans and street children through education
